I’ve been a HUGE Boss effects fan for years, but a lot of my favorite pedals are long since gone. Fortunately, there’s quite a few companies taking these classics and implementing their own twist.

My personal favorites (and soon to be added to my collection) are the BBE Two Timer delay and the BBE Mind Bender. The Two Timer is a sonic replication of the long treasured Boss DM-2. With the ability to set up TWO delay lengths, this pedal is truly a versatile weapon in your tonal arsenal. Warm, analog delays will transform your tone and add a new dimension to your playing.

The Mind Bender takes two classic pedals – the Way Huge Blue Hippo chorus and the Boss VB-2 – and rehouses them into a tag team of tone. You can capture Small Stone-esque chorus tones and Hendrix-y vibes, all within the same box. Go from Woodstock to Seattle all within a stomp!

I’ve been looking for a new delay and a new chorus and I feel that these two pedals are winners. They’re extremely affordable and offer a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY – something not many companies are able to offer. If these wind up on my pedal board, I’ll be sure to include a demo.
